About BJJ Ladder
BJJ Ladder is an independent site that keeps current BJJ rankings and athlete records in one place, free to read. It covers 386 black belts across 41 major events.
Where the data comes from
Results come from Wikipedia's results tables for the IBJJF majors and the ADCC World Championship, used under CC BY-SA 4.0. Rankings are calculated by BJJ Ladder. The methodology page explains every step. BJJ Ladder is not affiliated with the IBJJF, ADCC or any team.
Corrections
Every event page links the Wikipedia table it uses. If a result is wrong, the fastest fix is to correct that table on Wikipedia with a citation to the official results. Our next data refresh picks up the change automatically.
How the site is funded
Some pages may link to instructionals or gear. If you buy through one of those links, BJJ Ladder may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored and never affect the rankings.
